Eye cream vs face cream?

why there are different types of cream, for face and eyes?

what happens if i use the eye cream all over my face or viceversa?Eye cream vs face cream?
The skin around your eyes is much thinner than on your face. A face moisturizer on them could cause irritation, redness. If you used an eye cream on your face it wouldn't be strong enough to penetrate the thicker skin of your face so you'd be wasting it.Eye cream vs face cream?
The skin under your eyes is thinner and therefore more sensitive than that of your face. It really won't hurt to use the creams interchangeably, but for some people face cream might be too heavy or harsh for the sensitive eye area. Plus, the skin around your eyes ages faster and might benefit from a different set of ingredients. Sometimes specialized eye creams are more expensive and come in small containers and you would not want to ';waste'; these by using them on your entire face.
