Cleanser & face cream help?

I have found a great cleanser %26amp; a wonderful face cream that are just right for my skin. The problem is that they are of different brands (one is Garnier %26amp; the other is Nivea). Can I put the cream on after I've cleaned my face with the cleanser even if they are different brands? Are there any side-effects to doing so? Please help me with relevant infos.Cleanser %26amp; face cream help?
You can mix %26amp; match between brands. If this combination has been working for you, then keep on using it.

Admonitions against mixing between brands or skin care lines have to do w/ doubling up on active ingredients %26amp; then irritating your skin. For example, avoid using an AHA/BHA cleanser %26amp; then an exfoliating toner from another line because you could end up over stripping your skin.
